Dutch Country General Store is an American company owned by parent company Dutch Country Living, recently named one of Inc. 5000 top growing companies (No. 3823 (2019), No. 4238 (2018).[1] Dutch Country General Store is located in Bloomfield, Iowa and also Hannibal, Missouri. This retail general store offers goods in the nostalgic and novelty product lines categories such as old-fashioned toys, traditional Amish wood furniture, bulk foods, baked items, candy, heirloom quilts, candles, jar goods, and more. Many of these items are also offered in their online store, which was launched in 2017 www.dutchcountrygeneralstore.com .[2]
The Bloomfield, Iowa location is a two-story building resembling a "barn". Some of the products you might find at this location are cast iron cookware, wall decor, gifts, and spices. The toy selection is one of the largest in Iowa. Aside from retail items, the store also includes in-season fruits and vegetables, many from local farms. It also has a deli counter offering fresh deli meats, thick-cut bacon, and other items for sandwiches.[3]
The Hannibal, Missouri location offers many of the same products as the Bloomfield, Iowa location, but the building is smaller with 6000 square feet and is 1/3 the size of the other location. Set in the historic district on Main Street, some of the products unique to this location are the locally made bread and other bakery items. Both locations carry the Grand Marceline Coffee, which is made locally in Marceline, Missouri.[4]

History
Dutch Country Living is the parent company to Dutch Country General Store,[2] of which Levi Good became the CEO in 2012.[6] At this time the store had one location in Davis County, Iowa.[2] In April 2020, Dutch Country General Store opened its second location in Hannibal, Missouri, with the grand opening held in October 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.[7]

In 2020, Missouri Life Magazine named Dutch Country General Store's Hannibal location as Best Country Store in Missouri.[8]
Other Ventures
Dutch Country Kitchen, a cooking show hosted by founder Levi Good's wife Erica Good and performer Diana Upton-Hill, is available on YouTube. This show illustrates how to cook meals and the importance of spending time with family through food.[4]
Community Involvement
On October 3, 2020, Dutch Country General Store held its official grand opening in Hannibal, Missouri. At this event, CEO Levi Good also presented Great River Honor Flight with a $1,200 donation. [7]
