Dwarika Nath Dhungel
Dr. Dwarika Nath Dhungel (Nepali: डा.द्वारिकानाथ ढुङ्गेल) (born June 1945) is a Nepali social scientist, political activist, and Nepali government administrator. He is an author of 11 books on Nepali general administration, hydropower, and other topics and many articles impacting Nepali social, political, and bureaucratic causes.[1]

Dr. Dwarika Dhungel has had three decades of experience in the Nepali administration. He has specialized and made a notable impact in the sector of Nepali hydropower, general administration, and local development. Some notable roles he has held:

Education
Dr. Dwarika Dhungel received his PhD in Social Sciences from Nagpur University, India, his MA, BL, and BA degrees from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He was a Visiting Scholar in the Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis at Indiana University. He was a SPURS Fellow at the Department of Urban Studies and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Dr. Dhungel has been awarded notable medals in Nepal such as Mahendra Vidhya Bhusan, Birendra Coronation medal, Birendra Silver Jubilee Medal, Long Service Medals, Seva Padak medal, National Referendum Medal, Birendra Aishwarya Commemoration Medal, Suprabal Gorkha Dakchhin Bahu, and Bikhayat Trisaktipatta.
Teaching Experience
Dr. Dhungel has been teaching throughout his career. At the beginning of his career, he was a lecturer of Political Science at Tri-Chandra college and Nepal National College in Kathmandu, Nepal. He also held training roles in multiple government offices throughout his career.
