Dylan Marshall is a jazz and acro dancer on A-Troupe, who identifies as non-binary.
Biography
Before the show
Dylan attended another studio, but made the decision to leave and audition for a spot on A-Troupe at The Next Step because everyone at their old studio was obsessed with finding out what their sister Margo was doing.
The Off Season: Season 4
Both Dylan and their friend Daisy visit The Next Step Dance Studio where they meet Heath, who explains some facts about the studio which were likely untrue.[1]
Season 8
Dylan arrives at The Next Step Dance Studio to take part in the Challenge; they later make it through the auditions and make it on A-Troupe. Dylan later attends Step Inside's performance alongside A-Troupe.[2][3][4]
Following Step Inside's success at undoing Maria's cancelling of A-Troupe, the team organise a surprise party for Richelle which is gate-crashed by Maria and Lucien who aim to scout out members for their studio Ultra Elite. This initially sours the mood of the party, until Pete plays several party games with the team in order to ease the tension.[5]
Dylan partakes in the small group routine for Nationals, which is choreographed by Jude. Dylan also informs Anthony that Margo Marshall is their older sister, yet as they do not like being seen as just a successful person's sister they do not want him to inform the team.[6]
During the small group round, A-Troupe head out onto the stage, yet as soon as they see their sister as a guest judge after having previously heard this announced, they run off of the stage out of fear of getting The Next Step disqualified by being related to a guest judge. When the team is asked what may have caused the occurrence by Kenzie, Anthony reveals that Margo is Dylan's older sister and how he had known for a while yet was asked by them to keep this a secret. As a result, Jude is prepared to fulfil her position as alternate and take their place, yet rather than this happening Kenzie performs in Dylan's place, despite Jude's backstage protests that she should be the one to perform rather than Kenzie. Upon being found by Margo backstage at Nationals, Dylan and Margo have a brief conversation before Margo returns and announces a guest performance alongside her sibling Dylan.[7]

- Acro: Dylan's other dominant style is acro. Despite them rarely performing the style, Dylan is good at acro.
