Dymond Guilford
Dymond Precious Guilford (born November 6, 1999)[1] is an American freestyle wrestler who competes in women's wrestling at 76 kilograms (167.5 pounds). A native of Lancaster, California, Guilford wrestles for Titan Mercury Wrestling Club and trains at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is a former U.S. Senior World Team member, U23 World silver medalist, and three-time NAIA national champion.
Guilford has represented the United States at the senior and age-group international levels. She competed at the 2018 U20 World Championships, placing 11th at 76 kg, and won a silver medal at the 2022 U23 World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. In 2022, she also won the Senior Pan American Championships at 76 kg and earned a place on the U.S. team for the World Championships in Belgrade, where she finished 19th.
Personal life
Guilford was born in Lancaster, California, and attended Eastside High School[1]. She later attended DeVry University and the University of the Cumberlands[1]. She is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she trains at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center and competes for Titan Mercury Wrestling Club.
College career
Guilford competed collegiately for Missouri Baptist University[1] and later the University of the Cumberlands[2]. She won the 2019 WCWA national championship before becoming a three-time NAIA national champion. At Cumberlands, she won the NAIA 170-pound championship in 2022 and successfully defended the title in 2023. Her 2023 season was undefeated at 21–0, and she became the first Cumberlands women's wrestler to win consecutive NAIA national championships.
At the 2023 NAIA Championships, Guilford entered as the No. 1 seed at 170 pounds and went 4–0. She defeated Joye Levendusky of Southern Oregon in the championship match by fall at 3:59, becoming a three-time national champion.
Senior freestyle career
Guilford established herself as a leading American wrestler at 76 kg during the early 2020s. She placed third at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and fourth at the Senior World Team Trials before winning the U.S. Open and Final X at 76 kg in 2022. She subsequently represented the United States at the 2022 World Championships.
In 2022, Guilford also won gold at the Senior Pan American Championships and earned silver at the Zouhaier Sghaier Ranking Series tournament in Tunisia. Later that year, she won silver at the U23 World Championships, establishing herself as one of the United States' prominent wrestlers at 76 kg.
Guilford continued competing internationally in 2023 and 2024, including a bronze medal at the Zagreb Open in 2023, a fourth-place finish at Final X in 2023, gold at the 2024 Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov Tournament in Bulgaria, and fourth place at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
In 2025, Guilford won the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series tournament in Tirana, Albania, and captured the Senior World Team Trials championship at 76 kg. She finished third at the 2025 U.S. Open and was the runner-up at Final X.
In 2026, Guilford won the U.S. Open at 76 kg and earned bronze at the Muhamet Malo Ranking Series event in Tirana. She also reached the final of the Polyák Imre, Varga János & Kozma István Memorial in Hungary, earning a silver medal.
Guilford qualified for the 2026 Final X series at 76 kg against two-time World bronze medalist Kylie Welker. The series was delayed after USA Wrestling granted Welker a medical exemption and remained scheduled to determine the U.S. representative at the 2026 Senior World Championships.
