The Eμ-pim1 mouse is a transgenic rodent developed in 1989, which contains the pim-1 oncogene, which is expressed at higher levels in their lymph nodes and other lymphoid compartments, in order to predispose them to the development of T-cell lymphomas. They are attractive candidates for short-term carcinogenicity tests, such as to ionizing radiation and chemical carcinogens.
