E. Scott Beattie is a Canadian business executive. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Revlon, Inc. serving as a non-executive Vice-Chairman and advisor to Fabian Garcia, the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer.[1] Beattie formerly served as the Chairman and CEO of Elizabeth Arden, Inc., a global beauty products company. He was appointed CEO in January 1995, Chairman of the Board in April 2000 and, most recently, President in August 2006. He also served as President from April 1997 to March 2003. Beattie was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer until the sale of the company to Revlon, Inc. in September 2016.[2] Beattie has been involved in the financing, management and development of a number of private and publicly traded businesses in the consumer product, financial services, information technology, and retailing sectors through Bedford Capital, a Toronto-based private equity firm he co-founded in 1989. Prior to that, he served as a Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Merrill Lynch, Inc. and as a Manager of Accenture Consulting.[3] He holds an M.B.A and a degree in Honors Business Administration from The Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.[4]
