From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

History[edit]

Created by Jonathan Teller in 2007, EOS Lip Balm is an egg-shaped lip balm that comes in a variety of colors and flavors. Along with his business partner, Sanjiv Mehra, Teller had his formula tested by dermatologists and made sure it was hypoallergenic and gluten-free[1]. EOS Lip balms are also full of vitamins and moisturizing oils. Today, customers can find these lip balms at most retail stores in 18 countries[2] and online through the company's website.

Controversy[edit]

Many complaints have been filed to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) about EOS Lip Balm. [3] There were 126 reports filed between August 6, 2014 and June 12, 2017 with customers reporting reactions to certain flavors, including Sweet Mint, Strawberry Sorbet, Summer Fruit, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Pomegranate Raspberry, Vanilla Mint, and Passion Fruit, among others.
