EPIC Radio
EPIC Radio
Overview[edit]
EPIC Radio (Every Person In Christ) is a Catholic radio program and organization designed to “Present Every Person In Christ” as referenced in Colossians 1:28. Located and founded in Wake Forest, North Carolina in late 2016, EPIC Radio has been syndicated locally on the former Divine Mercy Radio station, 103.5FM Wake Forest[1] and other stations outside of the triangle area, such as Belmont Abbey College Radio (WBAC-LP)[2]. EPIC Radio is in the process of acquiring WFNE 103.5FM Wake Forest.
Originally a youth-based program, EPIC Radio is intended for audiences of any age and evangelizes for The Catholic Faith, stating in various episodes the motto: “Knowing the truth and having the passion to live it out.”
Aside from topical episodes, EPIC Radio also featured several Podcast Exclusives, which interview particular people Catholic faithful to discuss their lives, experiences, and testimonies. Exclusives include Matthew Pope, Matthew Handley, Gloria DeMoura, and a Podcast Exclusive hosted by Matthew Pope interviewing blogger and runner, Maria Abbe.
Two programs have been produced by EPIC Radio, also referred to as EPIC RADIO, INC, an umbrella term for the incorporated non-profit: EPIC Radio: A Radio Show for Young People[3] (premiered April 7, 2017) and In The Apostles’ Doctrine with Matthew Pope[4] (premiered May 24, 2018). The latter is hosted solely by author/writer Matthew Pope, who also co-hosted EPIC Radio, which officially ended in January of 2018.
Currently, In The Apostles’ Doctrine with Matthew Pope is the primary show aired by EPIC Radio. It has performed well garnering hundreds of downloads in just a few months. Likewise, combined with EPIC Radio’s programming, over one thousand downloads to date have been reached since April 2018.
In addition to their podcasts, they keep an updated website and blog, which covers a wide range of issues facing the Church. These include the 2018 sex abuse scandal, the Catholic approach to peace, prayers, reflections on the readings, and more. The two most popular writers include co-founders Matthew Handley and Matthew Pope, as well as other members of the show and guest writers.
In September 2018, EPIC Radio became officially incorporated as EPIC RADIO, INC[5], inaugurating their personal Articles of Incorporation and related documents as a radio broadcast ministry and affiliate. EPIC RADIO, INC is operated by a board of directors and is not a 501(c)(3) organization at this time.

Recently, EPIC Radio has been offered an FM radio station in Wake Forest, NC from Divine Mercy Radio to avoid the station from closure. EPIC Radio is currently fundraising and the station is expected to be on the air by the end of 2018.
A new page on the websites teases the idea of a new show called Conversations, but no information is given on what it will be about, who will host it or a release date.[6]
New programs are likely to come out when EPIC Radio fully acquires WFNE 103.5FM Wake Forest.
