EZ Transcribe

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ez Transcribe (Easy Transcribe) is a piece of software that facilitates audio transcription and features audible spell-check for the blind.[1] This software was created in 2002 and continuously developed and upgraded till 2016, when its 36th update was patented in 27 October by Islamic Republic of Iran's Department of Inventions Registration with patent number 93534, registration number 139550140003010524, international categorization codes G06G, G06J and G06F.[1][2] Ez transcribe is patented and owned by "Javad Hoseini" and "Iran Nopendar Company".[3] The inventor, "Javad Hoseini" is a programmer, software developer and audio-transcriber, who founded "Iran Nopendar Audio Transcription Center" in 2008 and lost his eye-sight owing to RP disease in 2011.[4]

Ez Transcribe combines Windows Media Player with Wordpad and adds new transcription features so that an audio transcriber will not have to switch continually between an audio-player and a word processer application.[1] It automates some time-consuming parts of transcription, such as auto-completing long words, auto-adding time-tags and auto-inserting speaker names.[2] By combining the above-mentioned features, this app speeds up the audio-transcription process by two or three times. Additionally, it features easy-step-change feature for changing the step-back and step-forward steps with easy keyboard shortcuts. The audible spell-checker in this program allows blind translators and transcriptionists to earn and work professionally in the fields of text and audio translation, audio and video transcription, film and serial sub-titling, closed-captioning, etc.
