East End, Suffolk
East End is a hamlet in Suffolk located east of the larger village of East Bergholt. Its name derives from its location at the eastern end of the heath which was enclosed by act of parliament in 1817.[1]
The village is connected to East Bergholt by a 1-mile stretch of straight, mostly flat road, known locally as Straight Road. It is served by First Group Buses route 194 which runs to the nearby areas of East Bergholt, Manningtree and Ardleigh.
