The East Havering Residents’ Group[1] are an independent political group in Havering that split off from the Havering Residents Association in 2014. They have contested every Havering Council election since 2014, primarily the seats geographically located in the east of the borough.
They broke off to join the Conservative coalition in the 2014 election. They were led by Clarence Barrett, a former Cabinet Member for Finance and representative of Cranham within the Council since 2006 election. He passed away on 1 March 2019.
