East Junior High School is a public middle school located in the East End neighborhood of Boise, Idaho. It serves students in grades 7 through 9 and is part of the Boise School District.
History
East Junior High School was established in 1953 to alleviate overcrowding at Boise Junior High (now North Junior High School). The original campus was constructed on the former Public School Field grounds along Warm Springs Avenue. Over the years, the school underwent several expansions:
In 1972, an industrial arts building was added.
In 1973, three portable classrooms were installed.
In 1974, dressing rooms and a gym annex were constructed.
In the fall of 2009, East Junior High relocated to its current facility at 5600 E. Warm Springs Avenue. The original site was redeveloped into Dona Larsen Park, an athletic complex utilized by Boise State University and local high schools.
Academics
