Eatliz is an Israeli alternative rock/progressive rock band, formed in 2001 by Guy Ben Shetrit of punk rock band Infectzia. The band is known for its animated music videos and dynamic live performances. Their sound is described as "complicated pop".
History[edit]
Formation and Early Years (2001–2005)[edit]
Eatliz was formed by Guy Ben Shetrit in 2001. The band initially included singer Yael Kraus and later featured members such as Talia Kliger, Uzi Finerman, and Maya Dunitz. They gained attention in the Israeli indie rock scene for their powerful performances and covers of artists like Soundgarden and Björk.
Violently Delicate (2005–2008)[edit]
In 2005, Amit Erez joined, and Lee Triffon became the new lead singer. The band's debut album, Violently Delicate, was released in 2007. The album was well-received, and the single "Attractive" gained significant radio play in Israel and Germany. The music videos for "Attractive" and "Hey" won multiple international awards.
Delicately Violent (2009–2010)[edit]
In 2009, the band released the EP Delicately Violent, featuring outtakes from Violently Delicate and a cover of Björk's "Army of Me". The EP was well-received, and the band continued to grow its fanbase.
Teasing Nature (2010–2012)[edit]
The band's second album, Teasing Nature, was released in 2010. The album featured the single "Berlin" and was promoted with tours in Germany, Israel, and the United States. In 2012, Lee Triffon and Amit Erez left the band, and Sivan Abelson and Omer Hershman joined.
All of It (2013–present)[edit]
In 2014, the band released the album All of it, featuring new vocalist Sivan Abelson. The album was well-received, and the band continued to tour in Israel.
