Echo Transportation, also known as Echo Tours & Charters L.P., is a charter bus company based in Dallas, TX.[1] As of April 2018, Echo operated 85 motor coaches and 36 mini-buses, making it one of the largest carriers in Texas authorized for passenger transportation.
Echo offers private charter services and contracts with school ISDs, universities,[2] corporations, and the government.
History & Formation
Echo Transportation was formed after a series of smaller acquisitions beginning in 2010.[3] These acquisitions included:
- Buses by Bill, out of Dallas, TX
- Gotta Go Trailways out of Fort Worth, TX
- Central Texas Trails out of Waco, TX
- Lonestar Bus Lines out of Tyler, TX
Gotta Go Trailways was a major component of Echo's founding, and in 2005, featured 36 Van Hool motor coaches.[4]
2015
In 2015, Echo was a member of the Trailways Transportation Network.
Echo Transportation merged with AFC Transportation of Houston, TX, to form a new entity, TBL Group Inc..[5] The combined companies have a fleet of 300 vehicles and operate independently with branches in Dallas, Houston, Waco, and Tyler.
