Eco-socialism
Eco-socialism (also known as ecosocialism) is a political ideology that combines socialist principles with ecological concerns. It advocates the transformation of economic and social systems to achieve environmental sustainability, social equality and democratic control over natural resources and the means of production. Eco-socialists argue that capitalism's emphasis on economic growth, profit and resource extraction contributes to environmental degradation, climate change and the depletion of natural resources. The ideology generally supports ecological planning, renewable energy, sustainable production, environmental justice and international cooperation. It draws heavily from Marxism, social ecology and the broader environmental movement.
