Ecobank Bulawayo Heist
On 3 October 2024, six armed men raided a Safeguard Security Services vehicle parked outside Ecobank's Parkade Centre branch in Bulawayo. The theft was valued at US$4–5 million, making it one of the largest bank robberies in Zimbabwe.[1]
Six suspects have been named, and Zimbabwe Republic Police have contacted Interpol for assistance, claiming the offenders might be based in South Africa.[2]
