History

Brothers Lane and Brooks Kelly[1] grew up in Macon, Georgia. They attribute their early music exposure to their Uncle Brian[3], who introduced them to their first instruments and encouraged them to play as a band at their grandparents' parties.

The Kelly brothers' style varied early on in the band Georgia Flood and later Preachervan. They went from heavy metal to indie rock, respectively, before returning to their retro, southern soul roots as Eddie 9V[2].

While paying the club circuit in Atlanta, Brooks and Lane met Chad Mason, a well-respected keyboardist. Chad joined in late 2019. David Green, a classically trained percussionist, joined as the band's drummer in 2023. Dustin McCook, an accomplished guitarist, appeared on previous albums and officially became a member in 2025.
