Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance Company Limited is a life insurance provider with its headquarters in Mumbai, offering individual and group insurance. It is a joint venture between the Edelweiss Group and Tokio Marine and has been registered by Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA).[1][3]
Presence and distribution
The company was established in 2011. As of 2015, there are 112 branches across 50 major cities and has 11,000 agents.[4] [5]
CSR
In 2018, Edelweiss Tokio Life designed and implemented a model called Managing Partner (MP) program to support entrepreneurs. Through the program, Edelweiss Tokio Life provides support in terms of new office setup and other infrastructure services to its MPs and enables them to become business partners. They planned on hiring 700 DMs across its 121 branches in India.[5] [6]
In November 2019, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance launched an organ donation campaign in partnership with Mohan foundation to raise awareness about the poor state of India’s organ donation.[7] [8]
Awards
In 2016, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance Company Limited won the “Best Life Insurer of the Year” award presented at the 15th Annual Outlook Money Awards.[9] [10]
