Edgar V. Moorman was an American politician and businessman from Illinois. Moorman was the vice-presidential nominee of the Prohibition Party in the 1940 presidential election. Moorman ran alongside Roger W. Babson, receiving a total of 57,925 votes. Moorman was the owner of Moorman Manufacturing Company, headquartered in Quincy, Illinois, which was a producer of livestock feed. During Moorman's time spent as the Prohibition Party's vice-presidential nominee, he greatly influenced the philosophical basis of the party to become hard-right doctrinal Christian fundamentalism rather than pragmatic Christian Progressivism.[1]
