830291303 2018-03-13T22:46:34Z 206.12.42.139 I haven't finished editing this page yet, as I need to update the citations (but wikipedia won't let me save the page without publishing). However, I did link the key terms to other Wikipedia pages.
830008786 2018-03-12T04:30:52Z MatthewVanitas Declining submission: This is definitely making progress! You have a couple formatting issue: *I really don't think you need a list of the chapters, that can be removed. *You need to [[WP:Wikilink]] key names and technical terms (only on their first appearance in the article). I think you tried to do that on WASP but you need to use double "[" not single. See what I did to [[Orientalist]] to make it blue. *You have some older footnotes written as <code><nowiki>[6], you need to remove those and/or replace them with an actual "ref" coded footnote. Same where you have non-functioning footnotes written as "[3]" and the like. If you're not sure, check WP:Referencing for beginners.
  • I glanced at GoogleBooks, and there are a number of books that discuss this book. Go find a few of those, derive interesting facts from them, and cite them here.
  • Important note: only footnote facts about the book itself or Smith himself, don't for example footnote "Yellow ...</nowiki>

828190169 2018-03-01T02:08:53Z MatthewVanitas Declining submission: Is the article about the ''book'', or about the writer? You have several random sections about chapters in the book, and ''then'' you start talking about the writer. If it's about him, please remove the extra material before you start talking about him. Also, do not footnote to other Wikipedia article, just wikilink them like so: [[Yellow peril]]. Also, did you check GoogleBooks for facts about him you can cite to the book? I found [https://books.google.com/books?id=ZE7K5qGUyKQC&pg=PA115&dq=%22Arthur+Henderson+Smith%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjH6PmUhcrZAhVDeawKHVQdBRk4FBDoAQhSMAg#v=onepage&q=%22Arthur%20Henderson%20Smith%22&f=false this for example] that could be useful. Note you can instantly turn any GoogleBooks URL into a full Wikipedia footnote using http://reftag.appspot.com ([[WP:AFCH|AFCH]] 0.9)
