| 992212431 | 2020-12-04T02:32:39Z | 217.44.196.204 | The Van Loon et al 2005 paper, previously used as the source, does not actually give a radius for the star. The paper is about a theoretical formula for the mass-loss rates of giant stars, and not quite so much about their radii. So, therefore I assume, the radius figure of 1,259 must've been calculated from the temperature and luminosity data of the star that were actually given in the Van Loon et al 2005 paper. Hence, I include a note showing the necessary calculation steps for the radius. |
| 992191647 | 2020-12-04T00:09:29Z | 217.44.196.204 | Minor edit: it's → its. Why? Well... It's is a contraction and should be used where a sentence would normally read "it is." the apostrophe indicates that part of a word has been removed. Its with no apostrophe, on the other hand, is the possessive word, like "his" and "her," for nouns without gender. For example, "The sun was so bright, its rays blinded me." |
