Edo Language Day Worldwide celebration is an annual event organized for the Edo people to celebrate the Edo history, language, and culture. The Edo language day is observed on 13 August each year within and outside Nigeria. The annual event was born out of the need to increase awareness and preserve the Edo language as part of the response to the United Nations' warning for languages under threat of extinction.[1][2]
