Edward Lee's Country Cook (Korean: 컨트리 쿡) is a South Korean food-travel variety show starring Korean-American celebrity chef Edward Lee alongside actors Byun Yo Han, Ko A Sung, and Shin Si A. The show premiered on TvN in 2025 February 14 ~ 2025 April 18 (scheduled) blending culinary exploration with heartfelt storytelling as the cast embarks on a winter journey across Korea.[1]
Synopsis
Edward Lee, the Korean-American celebrity chef who gained recognition as the runner-up in Culinary Class Wars, returns to his roots with Edward Lee's Country Cook. Teaming up with actors Byun Yo Han, Ko A Sung, and Shin Si A, Edward travels across South Korea during the winter season to rediscover and reinterpret the flavors of traditional Korean home cooking — particularly the cherished recipes of Korean grandmothers.
In each episode, the group explores different regions, meets locals, and cooks with seasonal ingredients to create unique dishes that reflect both heritage and innovation. Their ultimate goal? To see if Edward Lee’s take on country cooking can win the approval of Korea’s grandmas.[2]
