Edwin Barrows

Edwin Barrows (1834–1908) was an American Civil War veteran, and businessman in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He was a longtime trustee of Wheaton College in Massachusetts.

He was born in Norton, Massachusetts, the son of Albert and Harriet (Ide) Barrows. He attended Pierce Academy in Middleborough, Massachusetts. He graduated from Yale University in 1857.[1] He was a clerk of the Wheaton Manufacturing Company in Norton.

He married Harriet Eliza Armington in 1868, and they had four children.

He was a deacon of the Central Congregational Church in Providence, Rhode Island.[2]
