Eger Karl Johan (departement store) is a department store located at Egertorget, in the center of Oslo, Norway. The department store carries over 125 international brands and focuses on exclusive and trendy fashion, beauty and lifestyle goods.

Eger Karl Johan is four stories high and consists of more than 80 000 square feet of fashionable boutiques.

Eger Karl Johan profiles itself as a "high-end" department store. They offer a range of exclusive and trendy designers such as Stella McCartney, Céline, Yves Saint Laurent and Marc Jacobs. Norwegian cross-country skier and Olympic gold medalist Therese Johaug (23) is an ambassador[1] for the store.

History[edit]

Eger Karl Johan is located in a square in Karl Johans gate 23, Oslo's main shopping street. The square, called Egertorget, has been an important meeting place in the city for more than a hundred years. It is named after the brothers and brewery owners Herman (1816–1883) and Thorvald Eger (1827–1901). Eger Karl Johan opened in 2009.
