Ehsan Shariati Varnosfaderani (Persian: احسان شریعتی ورنوسفادرانی), is an active entrepreneur and investor, currently living in Toronto, Canada. He is known for complex system analysis and design, as well as investment visions.
Shariati was founder, CEO, and president of Direction X Corporation,[1] the early pioneer in complex system design. He has worked with large companies, such as Isfahan City Center,[2] L'Oreal and Randstad[3] and working on a project about standardizing resumes based on schma.org funded by Mitacs and is a member of digital super cluster.[4] He served as a senior executive consultant to the retail industry's CEOs while being president and CEO of Direction X Corporation.[5] Working for more than 15 years in the application development industry and achieving major accomplishments, Shariati accomplished many large projects.[5]
Life and career[edit]
Born in Esfahan, Iran, Shariati went to Sadat high school and attended Isfahan University of Technology for 4 years before immigrating to the United States in 2007. Settling in Boulder, Colorado, he continued his education at University of Colorado at Boulder, pursuing a master's degree in Science and Electrical Engineering. As a senior, he was fascinated by the cloud application industry, and toiled with classmates to build one of the first room exchange platforms.[6]
Upon graduation in 2010, he went to Iran, the place that entered him into high-tech industry. In 2010 he had his first brush with the cloud application industry, working with several companies in Iran to develop first Iranian online used car market, Isfahan Khodro.[7]
It was at Isfahan, where he was recruited by Isfahan City Center, the largest shopping center in Iran.[8] He developed a complex platform to oversee all processes in a central portal for the whole shopping center as the first of the kind in the country. He also participated in developing first virtual presenter in Iran.
In 2016 he immigrated to Canada.
