Nextwave Media Limited, trading as Eirewave, is a commercial radio station which is available nationally in Ireland.
Eirewave (formerly URadio) is an Irish Independent Radio station. The station rebranded to its current name at 8:00 am on 28 August 2018.
It is mostly an online station but has occasionally done trial broadcasts (temporary licence runs) on FM.
The station's first broadcast was in February 2013 at this moment they play mostly Pop Rock and contemporary folk music. In September 2013 URadio made an application to the BAI to provide a 100% contemporary Irish music radio service for Dublin and Dublin County.
On February 2014, URadio was not awarded for the FM broadcasting licence in Dublin.
On August 2018 URadio became Eirewave and they decide to improve the format and the concept with a new digital platform. Eirewave is mostly an online station but will occasionally do trial broadcasts (temporary licence runs) on FM, in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.
Eirewave is an Irish Adult Top 40 Format. Eirewave play mostly Pop, Rock as well as Pop alternative dance and electro, exclusively from Irish artists. With 350 000 listeners per month Eirewave is the n°1 Irish Music Radio Station in Ireland…
