Ekta Sodha Ekta has been associated with the field of low-cost private schools for many years. She is CEO of Cadmus Education, India and Sodha Schools build on her family business of the last 30 years. Under her leadership the school chain has grown to 5,500 students, serving low-income families in fishing villages, rural communities and market towns in the state of Gujarat. Under Ekta's leadership, Sodha Schools achieved 5th rank in Gujarat for its high educational quality, low-cost model, by one of Asia's premier education magazine 'Digital Learning". Ekta has been featured twice by India's leading educational magazine 'Education World' on the cover story. Her Ideas on the state of the education sector during the pandemic were published in 'The Economist magazine recently. Ekta completed her Masters of Education in International Leadership and Management from Newcastle University, England. She studied for her PhD in Education Technology, looking at raising children's aspirations using technology, under world-famous TED-prize winner Professor Sugata Mitra. In 2012 Ekta was elected Vice President of the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA), India, and re-elected again in 2015 serving consecutively for two terms until 2017. Ekta was responsible for quality improvement across the NISA network. Amongst many other esteemed indicators, she was invited to share a round table discussion with Dr Condoleeza Rice for Jeb Bush Foundation for Excellence in Education at Denver, Colorado. She has also spoken at prestigious gatherings like UBS Optimus, 11M, and ISB Hyderabad amongst many others.
