Elam W. Wright

Elam Windom Wright Jr. (20 October 1920 in Oklahoma – 30 December 2002 in Grandview) was an American First Lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II. He also was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, which was awarded for having distinguished himself by extraordinary heroism against an armed enemy in circumstances which do not justify the award of the Medal of Honor. He retired on 30 June 1971 as Colonel.
