Eland Cables is a privately held global electrical cable supplier with a cable testing laboratory that holds two world-class accreditations, ISO/IEC 17025[1] and IECEE CB scheme TL[2]. It was also the first company to hold the BSI Kitemark for Cable Testing Verification[3]. They are known in the market for their technical expertise.

Eland Cables supplies low and medium voltage power, control, data, and instrumentation cables, with copper or aluminium conductors, meeting national, European EN (CENELEC), and international IEC standards to industries worldwide.

Previously owned by Dermot Desmond and his Dublin-based company Unidare PLC[4], a management buy-out in 2008 backed by Bank of Ireland, and latterly HSBC[5] saw it return to private ownership, with the current Board of Directors also the sole shareholders. It was voted one of the best 100 businesses to work for by The Times[6][7][8] several years in a row.

The company is headquartered in London with principal Operations and Cable Lab located in South Yorkshire, UK, where they also have a JAUPT accredited driver training school in-house to support their extensive fleet of HGVs and drivers. They are registered signatories to the United Nations Global Compact[9] and have signed a commitment to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)[10], with efforts being made to reduce their carbon emissions[11]. This includes use of solar PV and renewable energy on their sites, biofuel alternatives for HGVs, and their cable recycling facility.
