Eleanor Ffrench

Eleanor Ffrench (died 1861) was an Irish poet.

Poems[edit]

Ffrench belonged to a family that was part of Tribes of Galway.

Ffrench's single published collection, Poems, appeared posthumously in Dublin in 1863. The preface states: "This little book contains all the poems of the late Eleanor French [sic], of Prospect Hill, Galway, which could be collected at a period of two years after her death. One poem, 'The Rival Lights', commemorates the installation of gas lighting in the town on 20 November 1837."

Ffrench died in 1861, probably in Galway, Ireland.
