Elektra Wagenrad
Corinna Aichele, better known as Elektra Wagenrad, is a Berlin-based author, hacker, community network activist, software developer and electronics engineer. She is well-known as a wireless mesh technology pioneer being one of the inventors of the B.A.T.M.A.N. protocol.[1]. Right from the beginning of the Freifunk initiative she took an active role in instructing people to build community networks in Germany. Since then she has among others co-authored the book "Wireless Networking in the Developing World"[2] and actively schooled people in Bangladesh, India, Chile, Tanzania and South Africa to build community networks on their own. As an electronics engineer she participates in the development of wireless routers that fit the needs of community networks particularly the LibreRouter[3]. Apart from her hacker activism she authors critical philosophical books in which she holds a bicameralistic view and criticizes a possible alienation from self-consciousness by not being sensible of the bicameral state[4]
