Elena Beuca (born October 27, 1979) is a Romanian-American film director, film producer, actress, and revivalist. She is known for Talita (2020)[1], Gang Related (American action drama) (2014) and Connectivity (2010). She is the recipient of several accolades for her first directorial debut for the feature film Talita (2020)[2] - with a total of 14 awards including for best feature film, best female director, and best actress. Trainwreck society named her directorial debut as "The finest work of cinematic arts of the last decade." She also appeared in the TV shows Gang Related (2014), Enlightened (2011), and Victorious (2010).
Born and raised in Hateg, Transylvania, Beuca[3] aspired to be an avid reader from a young age. At the age of 27, she started to get fascinated by acting, so she came across American Academy of Dramatic Arts which also made her give up her Real estate business in Bucharest so she could pursue acting as a full-time career. Beuca then moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career by playing guest roles in television shows.
Early life
Elena Beuca was born in Hateg, a small village in Transylvania, Romania during the communism era.[4] She spent her whole time working on the farm while taking care of cattle and sheep. Going to school was a treat for her and she looked forward to it every morning – it was a great break from the hard work on the farm.
Current Life
Since the COVID-19 pandemic[5], Elena Beuca is not only focused on movies[6] and documentaries but also helping people get inspired over social media and OTT platforms. She has been creating new inspiration and motivational videos every week to keep people busy and bring life to them. Elena Beuca is completely dedicated to helping people and non-profits as she is planning to launch an OTT-charity-based platform to raise funds for them.
