Eliot Glazer

Eliot Glazer is an American writer, actor, comedian and singer. He is best known for portraying Ilana Wexler's brother Eliot on Broad City. He has written for Difficult People, Younger, and New Girl.

Early life[edit]

Glazer is the son of Sandi (née Wexler) and Larry Glazer, who both work in insurance and finance. He grew up in St. James, New York, with his sister, Ilana, and was raised in a Reform Jewish household. He went to Smithtown High School in Smithtown, New York.[1] Glazer graduated from New York University in 2005 and attended the Gallatin School of Individualized Study[2] there.

Career[edit]

After graduating from NYU, he began performing stand up, improv, and sketch comedy in New York City.[3] He and Ilana co-hosted a variety show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for three years called High School Talent Show.[4]

Glazer's video "Sh*t New Yorkers Say" went viral in January 2012 and has amassed over four million views[5]. His web series created with Brent Sullivan, It Gets Betterish, received praise from press outlets including Jezebel and Buzzfeed.[6][7]

He has written for New Girl, Younger, Difficult People, and TV Land's Teachers. He appeared as a panelist on Comedy Central's @midnight in 2016.

Glazer tours the United States with his show "Haunting Renditions" in which he performs re-orchestrated versions of "bad" pop songs.[8]

He hosts the podcast You're Making It Worse with Brent Sullivan and H. Alan Scott on Starburns Audio.[9]
