Eliška Mrázová (born 6 August 1994), known professionally as Elis Mraz, is a Czech singer and composer.
Life and career
Elis Mraz was born in Ostrava. Having released her debut album Shubidu in 2013, she first gained attention a year later after winning "Best New Artist" at the Český slavík awards. She took part in the Voice of Czecho Slovakia the same year, reaching the semi-final stages.
She has taken part in several international music contests including the Golden Lute in 2011, finishing in 2nd place. Her song "Letter to Mom" inspired by real-life concentration camp correspondence peaked at number three of the international BEAT 100 chart.
Since 2016, Elis has concentrated on composing music, having collaborated with songwriters such as Andrew Murray, Kenneth Karlin or Don Mescall. She has also been hosting the children's show Ty Brďo! at the Déčko channel.[1]
Eurovision Song Contest
Elis took part in the Czech national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020 with "Wanna Be Like" (feat. Čis T), finishing in second place.[2]
Furthermore, she was a member of the Czech jury at the 2017 and 2021 contests.
She returned to ESCZ in 2022, with the song "Imma Be." She once again finished in second place.[3] Following her second-place finish in the Czech selection in 2022, she subsequently went on to attempt to represent San Marino with the same song,[4] which involved a live audition at the Teatro Titano.

Her brother is Dali Mraz, real name Dalibor Mráz, virtuoso drummer and composer.
