Elisa Mattila is a Finnish orienteer who competes in foot orienteering. She became Junior World Champion in sprint at the Junior World Orienteering Championships 2022 in Portugal and has achieved notable results at Finnish national championships and university‑level events.
Junior career
Mattila represented Finland at the Junior World Orienteering Championships 2022 in Aguiar da Beira, Portugal. In the women's sprint she won the gold medal with a time of 14:57, finishing 13 seconds ahead of silver medallist Lilly Graber of Switzerland and 19 seconds ahead of bronze medallist Anna Karlová of Czechia. The result gave her the junior world title in sprint.
She also ran for Finland in the sprint relay at the same championships and has competed in forest disciplines and sprint races at IOF junior events and World Ranking Events.
Senior and university competition
Mattila has continued to compete for Finland in senior competitions, including Finnish national championships in long distance and middle distance, and international World Ranking Events. She appears in the International Orienteering Federation World Ranking with results in Finnish championship races and international middle distance competitions.
At university level, Mattila has taken part in the FISU World University Orienteering Championships, adding experience in international middle distance and sprint races while representing Finland in student competition.
