Eliza Diop (born June 21, 1992) also known as Ellie Diop, is an American business coach and speaker. She is the founder of Ellie Talks Money, Ellievated Academy, and other organizations.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education[edit]
Diop was born on June 21, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. She was born to an African-American mother and a Senegalese-American father. Diop spent her early years in Compton, California, and moved to Inglewood, California at age 12.
Diop attended an all-girls school in Pasadena, California, on an academic scholarship. After graduating high school, she studied at Oberlin College, where she completed her bachelor's degree in Political Science and African-American studies with a minor in Sociology. While at Oberlin, Diop served as a senior class vice president and co-chair of the black student union.
Career[edit]
Diop started her career as a small business relationship care specialist at American Express Business. Later, she joined Neilson Financial Services as a life insurance producer in 2016. Diop was later became a manager and then director of sales until she was laid off in 2019.
After being laid, Diop applied and was rejected from over 50 jobs.[7][8] In August 2020, she used her $1,200 stimulus check and founded an online coaching organization, Eliza Revella Consulting Services, commonly known as Ellie Talks Money.[9] Diop was featured in several media outlets, including Business Insider,[10] Fortune Magazine, Entrepreneur, Newsweek, FOX Business, NextAdvisor, and Bloomberg.

Diop received the Cultural Icon Award from Harlem Fashion Week.
In January 2012, Diop was awarded a grant by the Creativity and Leadership Fund at Oberlin College to start a waste management project in Senegal.
Personal life[edit]
Diop lives in Los Angeles, California, with her four children.[11]
