Elizabeth Cutler is an entrepreneur and investor best known for co-creating SoulCycle with Julie Rice.[1]

She is on the board of Crisis Text Line[2] and SHOFCO[3] and has advised The Wing, Female Founders Fund[4], UrbanStems and WTHN. [5]

Career[edit]

Cutler and Rice started SoulCycle in 2006 in the rear lobby of an Upper West Side dance studio found on Craigslist in New York, NY.[6] Cutler served as Co-CEO at SoulCycle from 2006 to 2015 before becoming Co-Chief Creative Officer in 2015.[7] Cutler and Rice grew the company to 60 studios before departing in 2016.[8][9]

Cutler and Rice moved on to form LifeShop in 2016[10] and the pair continues to work, advise and speak individually and together.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Elizabeth Cutler grew up in the Chicago area[11] with one brother[12] and parents working in real estate and commodities trading.[13]

Cutler attended The University of Colorado Boulder for her undergraduate education, where she studied Art History and Religious Studies.[14]

She then moved to Telluride, Colorado, working in real estate and practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu acupressure for the next ten years.[15]

Personal Life[edit]

Elizabeth Cutler currently lives in New York, NY with her husband and two daughters.[16]
