Ellis Brooks (Born June 12th 1999) was an American professional Football Linebacker for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL).[1] He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions, and signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent after the 2022 NFL draft.
Early life
Brooks was born in Mechanicsville, Virginia on June 12th 1999. He attended High School at Benedictine College Preparatory in Richmond, Virginia, where he would total 81 tackles his senior year and become a four star recruit.[2] Brooks signed with Penn State on January 30th, 2017. Despite having other offers from division one schools like Notre Dame, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Purdue, Illinois and Mississippi state.[3][4][5]
College career
As a freshman at Penn State Ellis Brooks had contributed to the team with 30 combined tackles and 1 interception.[6] As a sophomore Brooks had 39 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks. As a Junior Brooks racked up 61 combined tackles and 5 of them were tackles for loss. As a senior Brooks had a total of 100 combined tackles.[7]
Professional Career
Ellis was not invited to the 2022 NFL Combine, but he did perform combine measurements at Penn State in a pro-day workout on March 24th, 2022.[8][9]

Ellis Brooks was signed by the Green Bay Packers on May 2nd, 2022. He would remain on the teams practice squad for only a short period, until on August 16th, 2022, Brooks was waived.[13][14]
