Elvire Jaspers (born 18 October 1969) is a Latvian former politician, and advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech sector.[1] She was a Member of the Latvian Parliament. She is also a founder of several tech-focused enterprises.[2][3] She received the Order of Viesturs in 2021.[4]
Career
Political career
In 2018, she became a Member of Parliament in Latvia from the Development/For! party representing the Digital Innovation and Technology Committee.[5] In this role, she advocated for policies that promote digital transformation, technological advancements, and the integration of AI into the public sector.[6][7] Jaspers also champions initiatives aimed at improving gender equality in politics and the tech industry.[8] Her political career in Latvia has been focused on international collaboration on tech innovation.[9][10]
Other activities
Elvire Jaspers began her entrepreneurial journey as a partner at InterimIC in 2005. In April 2011, she co-founded ietsmooier, where she served as a partner until her exit in June 2017.[11][12] She went on to co-found YuShift in July 2013, remaining involved until January 2017.[13][14] In September 2017, Jaspers co-founded Tur.ai, an artificial intelligence and hyper-automation platform, based in Amsterdam.[15][16] 2023, Tur.ai was spun off from WeAreBrain and continues to operate as an independent startup.[17][18] Jaspers was recognized twice as one of TheNextWomen100.[19][20] In 2020, she was named the Most Influential Leader in Technology Development[21] and was recognized as one of Latvian Top Female Entrepreneurs.[22]
In January 2021, she co-founded SOLVING, a strategic design studio, and later co-founded Grover Agency.[23][24] Elvire Jaspers has been recognized multiple times for her contributions to technology and entrepreneurship.[25][26]
