Elvon Jarrett
Elvon Babatunde Jarrett (born 7 June 1967) is a Nigerian film actor, dramatist, producer, and director. He is an evangelist and founder of Friends Of God Media.
Early life
Jarrett was born on June 7, 1967, in Ibadan, a town in Oyo State, Nigeria. He was born to Mr & Mrs E. S. Jarrett[1]. He started his primary education at the staff school in the University Of Ibadan, where his mother worked as a secretary in the registrar's office. He furthered his secondary school education at the popular Government College Ibadan (G.C.I.). He later went to the University of Ibadan in 1985 where he studied Anthropology as his First degree with subsidiary bias in Theater Arts[2]. He went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Communications Arts from the same University. His love for the arts dates back to his days at G.C.I., where he was a part of the drama club. This love was furthered in the University of Ibadan, where he took courses in theater arts and joined several performance groups, Unibadan Performing Company, ODU Themes, and later co-founded Laffomania organization.[3]
Personal life
On December 16, 1995, Elvon married his wife Olumide Olatokunbo Jarrett; together, they have four children (Bankole, Emmanuel, Esther, and Ruth Jarrett)[4]. Elvon is a Christian.[1]
