Emad Nasif (born June 8, 2000), also known as EmadGG, is a professional esports Fortnite Battle Royale competitor signed to Team SoloMid.[1] He is also one of the most popular Fortnite streamers with over 1.3 million followers on Twitch and active on many social media outlets including Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram[2]
Emad began his gaming career through Fortnite in 2018. He is mainly known for streaming Fortnite viewing parties, coining a widely used term, GGs Only, and participating in various esports competitions[3]. To date, Emad has earned over $60,000 in winnings, which include placing 1st in Ninja Battles Week 2[4].
Career
Emad began playing and streaming Fortnite February 14, 2018 under the name EmadGG.[2]. He entered his first competitive tournament in May 2018, in which he qualified for PAX during Week 8 of the 2018 Fortnite Summer Skirmish[3]. Soon after, Emad's streams began to grow as he was playing with other popular streamers including Ninja and Myth, and entering more tournaments. Emad was first signed as a professional competitive Fortnite gamer through the organization Eleven Gaming in October of 2018[5]. His streams and social media platforms continued to grow, and he left Eleven Gaming April of 2019[6]. Emad continued to stream as a solo player until he was picked up by Team SoloMid in July 2019 after his 6th attempt applying for the position[3]. Currently, Emad is signed as a competitive Fortnite player for Team SoloMid and has received over $60,000 in earnings throughout 18 tournaments[4]. As of May 2021 Emad has over 1.3 million Twitch followers, 250,000 Twitter followers, and 95,000 YouTube subscribers[2][7][8]. He has had several notable accomplishments including hosting his own Fortnite tournament the EmadGG cup in July of 2020[9].
