Emanuel-Narcis Pescari ([e'mAn:yul peˈskaːri]; also known as "Dr Death"[1] born 12 June 1990) is an Austrian professional strongman.[2]
Career
National career
Emanuel's strongman career started at the end of 2016, through an old colleague from high school, who had his own strongman gym. From the very beginning he said Emanuel has enormous potential and he should compete at the Austrian strongest man - Austrian Summer Giants. He finished with first rank consecutively for three years (2017-2019) in under-105 kg category, and finished 3rd overall at Austrian Summer Giants[3] consecutively in 2017 and 2018[4] and 4th in 2019[5] (Austrian u105kg and European u105kg Atlas Stone record with 200kg up to 120cm).[6] [7][8] He also finished as national champion at Bavarian Stonelift Championship in 2017 and 2018. In Le Giants, he finished 1st under-105 kg, and 4th and 3rd overall in 2017 and 2018 respectively.[9][10]
International career
2018 (u-105 kg)
He finished the World Loglift Championship in Lithuania (Zydrunas Savickas SBD World Loglift Championship), at 3rd place; European Championship in Poland, 6th place (Harlem Strongman)[11], World Championship in Czech Republic, 5th place (Ultimate Strongman).[12]
2019 (u-105 kg)
Pescari competed while dealing with shoulder injuries. He finished Strongman Champions League (Ultimate Strongman)(open class) in Germany, FIBO, 11th place[13]; World Grand Prix in Czech Republic[14][11], 6th place (one day after the Austrian Summer Giant); World Championship in Ukraine, 9th place (injury) (Ultimate Strongman); European Championship in Czech Republic, 3rd place (Ultimate Strongman)[12].
