Emanuele Arioli (born 31 march 1988) is a French-Italian medievalist and actor.[1]
Biography[edit]
Emanuele Arioli studied at the École normale supérieure of Paris, the École Nationale des Chartes, the Paris-Sorbonne University and the Scuola Normale Superiore[2]. He is an archivist-paleographer and a doctor in Medieval Studies (2017, Collège de France-Sorbonne). He published several books on medieval literature and received several awards for his researches [3] [4], notably for his discovery and reconstruction of a previously unknown medieval novel of the Round Table, entitled Segurant or the Knight of the Dragon.[5] From 2018, he is Senior lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Hauts-de-France.
In parallel to his academic career, he studied both dramatic art and singing at the conservatories of Paris. He played the role of Charles Castro in France by Bruno Dumont, in competition at the Official selection of the Cannes Film Festival 2021.[6]
