Embee Software

Embee Software Private Limited[1] is an India-based information technology company specializing in digital transformation[2], cloud technologies[3], enterprise resource planning (ERP), managed services, HRMS[4] and cybersecurity solutions. Headquartered in Mumbai and established in 1986[5], the company operates across multiple Indian cities[6] including Kolkata, Bengaluru, Gurugram, New Delhi, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, and Raipur.[7] With over 35 years of operational history, Embee Software serves more than 2,500 organizations across manufacturing, media, e-commerce, IT and ITES, BFSI, healthcare, logistics, and retail sectors.[8]

History

Embee Software was founded in 1989 by Sudhir Kothari[9], a commerce graduate from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. The company began operations as a reselling partner, initially engaging in software licensing business. In its early years, Embee Software represented globally renowned technology vendors including Microsoft, Symantec Corporation, Autodesk, HP, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Cisco, and Adobe.[10]

In 2011, Embee Software received Large Account Reseller (LAR) status from Microsoft for volume licensing business, marking a significant milestone in its partnership with the technology giant. This strategic positioning would drive substantial business growth,[11] with 80-90% of company revenues derived from Microsoft products in subsequent years.

By 2024, Embee Software had become a Microsoft Solutions Partner across five core areas: Cloud Security,[12] Modern Work, Data & AI, Infrastructure,[13] and Digital & App Innovation. It also held 12+ Microsoft Advanced Specializations and served as a recognized Microsoft Fabric Partner.[14]

Acquisition by Noventiq

In January 2021, Noventiq Group Inc. (formerly Softline Group Inc.)[15], through its Indian subsidiary Noventiq Services India Private Limited, acquired majority stake in Embee Software. Noventiq, an information technology company focused on digital transformation and cybersecurity with headquarters in London, sought to expand its Indian presence and capabilities through the acquisition.[16]

Leadership

Sudhir Kothari founded Embee Software in 1986 and serves as Managing Director and CEO. The company's organizational structure includes executive leadership supporting cloud, ERP[17], security[18], and managed services divisions. As of 2024, the company operates as a subsidiary of Noventiq Holdings plc.
