Emerald Moon Records is an American Independent record label, founded by Matt Boylan in Baltimore, Maryland in 2004. They worked with many bands up until late 2011 or later and the label features genres like alternative rock, indie rock, pop punk, metalcore, post-hardcore, mathcore, hardcore Punk, emo, screamo, and more.
The label is known for having launched such acts as All Time Low, Fall River, Spark Is A Diamond, Morning for the Masses, My America is Watching Tigers Die, Hometown Anthem, The Jonbenét and much more.
History[edit]
2004: Early Years[edit]
The label was founded by Matt Boylan in Baltimore, Maryland in 2004. They released “From the Land of Pleasant Living,” featuring various Baltimore bands on August 27.[1][2] Soon the label will release All Time Low’s debut ep “The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End” on October 1.[3]
2005: New Artists[edit]
Releases: Emma’s debut ep “Then We Burnt the Village'' on January 18,[4][5][6] Bled Across Miles’ debut ep “Hats Off to the Good Guys'' on March 1,[7][8][9][10] This Year Passed debut ep “The Progress” March 1,[11] Fall River’s debut ep “Chronicles” on March 22, 2005,[12][13][14][15] EMR 2005 Sampler on July 11,[16] Hometown Anthem’s debut album “Don’t Hold On To What You Hear” on July 11,[17][18][19] All Time Low’s “The Party Scene” On July 19, Morning for the Masses’ debut album “Wake Up Better” on August 30,[20][21][22][23] Stars Turn Cold’s debut album “My Gift, My Burden” on September 6,[24] and finally Fall Line’s debut album “Seiran” on September 6.[25][26][27]
2006: Getting Recognition[edit]
Releases: Make Your Stand debut Self-Title on March,[28] Boy Crazy’s debut album “Whale Songs to Kensington Garden” on April 25,[29][30] Inferis “Fear the Engineer” on May 23,[31][32][33][34] My America is Watching Tigers Die’s debut album “Narratives” on July 20,[35][36] Hometown Anthem ”If We Could Dream” September 26,[37][38][39][40][41] Dead Again!? debut album “Monolith” on October 17,[42][43] and finally Spark is a Diamond’s debut album “Keep Your Eyes Off the Prize” on November 14.[44]
2007: Struggling for Relevancy[edit]
Releases: Morning for the Masses "Seconds" on January 30,[45][46] The Jonbenet’s ep "Devil Music Volume 1” on April 17,[47] My America Is Watching Tigers Die's ep "30,000 Lbs” on July 23,[48] The Spotlight’s debut album "Slug Love" 2007 on May 15,[49][50] Emerald Moon's "2007 Sampler" Fall 2007, and finally Lady Radiator’s debut album "Bounce Energy Hear Me Out" November 27.[51][52]
2008-2011: Falling into Obscurity and End[edit]
Releases: Spark Is A Diamond's "You Can't Stop" on 2008[53], Girlfight’s debut album "Haggard" on October 30, 2008,[54][55][56] The Tonight Life’s debut ep on October 31, 2008,[57] The Jonbenét's "Devil Music Volume 2" on November 16, 2008,[53] Girlfight's “Ghost Eater'' on March 16, 2010,[58] Girlfight's “Infinite Carcass” on October 16,[59] The Green Eyed Machine's Self Titled ep on January 1, 2011, Tyler Lefebvre's "Red Canvas" on April 5, 2011,[60] and finally The Tonight Life “Carry Me On” July 26, 2011.[61]
Unfortunately the label fell to obscurity and went defunct in late 2011.

Emma changed their name to Girls Like Guns, This Year Passed changed their name to Storm The Armory, Bled Across Miles changed their name to Gibraltar May Crumble,[62] Hometown anthem was featured in Erine’s Battle of The Bands Vol 10,[63][64][65][66][67] All Time Low signed into Hopeless Records,[68] Fall river signed into Thorp Records,[69][70][71][72] Dead again!? signed into Zero Velocity Records, Bled Across Miles and This Year Passed appeared in Charm Syndicate’s “On Trial,” Spark is a Diamond signed into Pluto Records,[73][74][75] The spotlight signed into Define Records, My America Is Watching Tigers Die signed into Pluto Records and The Ghost Is Clear Records[76][77] and The Ghost Is Clear Records, Girlfight signed into Mayfly Records,[78][79][80][81] and The Jonbenét signed into Team Science! Records, Pobrecito Records and Pluto Records.[82]
