Emil Mammadov (Azerbaijani: Emil Elman oglu Mammadov; born May 11, 1987, Baku, Azerbaijan) is an Azerbaijani professional kickboxer, two-time world champion, creator of the EMT Promotion Project. Founder of the ParaBox Federation in Russia.
Life and career
Emil Mammadov was born on May 11, 1987, in the city of Baku. He studied in a secondary school until the 7th grade. Then he continued his education in the Cadet Corps. He graduated from the correspondence department of the Derbent Humanitarian Institute. After graduating from university, he served in the military. He started playing sports at an early age. Emil received support from his father in his studies and career. In his youth, he was a city champion and achieved his first success in taekwondo. Then he started boxing. He took part in the competitions held within the Dinamo club. Then he started kickboxing. In 2007, he became the champion among Azerbaijani servicemen in the weight category of 64 kg. In 2008, he took second place and won the Caucasus Cup. In 2009 he became the champion of the Caucasus. He later received a residence permit in the Russian Federation. He finished his amateur career in 2011 and did not appear in the ring for three years due to family reasons. He returned to his career in 2012. He made his professional kickboxing debut in April 2014 in the 70 kg weight class. Emil Mammadov created "EMT (Emilio Motivation Team)" projects. Lipovoy was the vice-president of the GYM fighting club network. He worked as a sports curator at the National Anti-Drug Association. Participated in the Stop Drug Program. He took an active part in television and radio broadcasts. He also founded the ParaBox Federation in Russia in 2015.
On November 8, 2015, Nicholas Kravchuk was knocked out in the second round.
On December 20, 2015, Mammadov knocked out his Bulgarian opponent Alexander Novakov at the beginning of the first round.
