Early Life[edit]
Emilia Copeland (previously known as Emma White), was born and raised in Staffordshire, the only child of Lorna, a secretary, and David White, a lecturer in agricultural engineering. She attended Castle House School in Shropshire, before moving on to Newport Girls High School[2] - one of the UK's leading girls' grammar schools.[3]
Copeland originally applied to study Dental Surgery at the University of Plymouth, but ended up undertaking a degree in Biomedical Science instead. It was during her time at university that she began acting, performing in amateur theatre productions and student films, as well as co-hosting a show for student radio, called The Wire.
Career[edit]
Copeland's first broadcast line on television was as a student on BBC's Doctor Who, opposite the 12th Doctor, although her role was uncredited.
Copeland starred in the short film "Satan's Bite". [4] Originally made for the Straight 8 competition, it had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.[5][6]
Copeland also portrayed the Red Haired Girl in Claire Oakley's debut feature film, funded by the BFI's iFeatures scheme.[7]
