Emma Baccellieri
Emma Baccellieri is an American sports journalist. She is a staff writer at Sports Illustrated.
Education
Baccellieri grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended Duke University, from which she graduated in May 2016 with a degree in history.[1] While at Duke, Baccellieri wrote for The Chronicle.
On March 2, 2015, The Chronicle published an article that Baccellieri co-wrote which revealed numerous sexual assault allegations against former Duke basketball player Rasheed Sulaimon.[2] The piece received news coverage from a number of national media outlets, including The Washington Post,[3] Bloomberg,[4] and Bleacher Report.[5]
Career
Baccellieri joined Deadspin in September 2016.[6]
On April 30, 2018, Baccellieri announced on Twitter that she would be leaving Deadspin at the end of the week to become a staff writer at Sports Illustrated focusing on baseball.[7] She begins work on May 14, 2018.[6][8]
