Emma Harner (Musician)
Emma Harner (born 6 December 2002) is an American singer, songwriter and musician. Harner released her debut EP Taking My Side in July 2025. She opened for Orla Gartland on her sold out North American tour in November 2024 and European leg in March 2025.[1] She performed at Lollapallooza 2025 as the guitarist for the band Jesse Detor.[2] Harner has described her style as a "little more Midwest emo or math-rock in a folk-y way" and is a multi-instrumentalist.[3]
Early life and Education
Harner grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska[4] and attended Lincoln High School. She participated in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and matriculated with both a high school and IB diploma.
Harner attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from August 2021 through May 2022, before transferring to the Berklee College of Music in August 2022 to study guitar performance and focus on her music career.
Career
While studying at Berklee, Harner began working with producer Doug Schadt on what was later released as " When You Mean It." Since then, she has released multiple singles, including "Bricks and Wedges" and "The Lake," the latter featuring Henry Jamison.
She has amassed 41K monthly listeners and 35K followers on Spotify[5], 234K followers on Instagram[6], and nearly 100K followers on Tiktok[7] as of September 2025.
